I've always felt like the beginnings of the First Tube lick were played by Trey in the BOAF jam. Too lazy to find the timecode. Curious if anyone else has heard it.
I didn't realize the debut was so soon! Glad you hear it. A lot of people don't. It's not the exact song and the rest of the band isn't playing it, but it's the phrasing and intervals for sure.

And I would think Trey would have had First Tube written by then - its debut was 13 days later.
