The metal section of Wolfman’s is pretty nuts. The 4 minutes preceding it seem to be the seed for the euphoric Tweezer one week later in Michigan. Thanks for writing these, Rob. Truly a pleasure to read and reminisce with you.
Great post. One thing to nitpick, though: If I'm not mistaken...I thought the fans who had their heads chopped off in Bittersweet posted a pic of the photo online last year and it had their whole heads in it. Something about how it was either a trick of the film's editing or the band gave them both good photos and bad photos. It came up on instagram so will be impossible for me to find it...But I remember it pretty distinctly.
Ok...looks like they did a mix of heads/no heads? Strange because in the photo bodies + heads, you do see a boom mic from a film crew. But the user also says they them at the Paradiso that evening...which is strange because i think the pic is from Barcelona. Anyway, it's explored below. I think my take is that for some shots it would be so damn obvious the camera wasn't getting their heads they couldn't pull it off. But if the camera lens was a little longer, they could do it.

I think of Wolfman's as when they decided to imitate a record with a skip in it.
Great Insight
